TechPulse publishes technology writing for a general audience. This page explains the limits of what that writing is, so you can judge how much weight to put on it.
General Information Only
Everything on this site is published for general information. It is written without knowledge of your specific setup, budget, jurisdiction, employer, or risk tolerance. An article cannot account for circumstances it does not know about, and a recommendation that is right for most readers may be wrong for you.
Use what you read here as a starting point for your own decision, not as a substitute for it.
Accuracy and Currency
We work to keep articles correct and to revise them when the facts change. Even so:
- Prices change constantly, vary by country and retailer, and are frequently discounted. Any price we quote is indicative and was accurate at the time of writing or the last update.
- Free tiers, plan limits, and features change without notice, often unfavourably. Confirm current terms with the provider before relying on them.
- Products are discontinued and replaced. An article may recommend hardware that is no longer sold.
- Software behaviour changes between versions. A command or configuration that worked at the time of writing may not work on your version.
Always verify time-sensitive details with the primary source before acting on them.
Technical Instructions
Guides on this site include commands, configuration changes, and procedures that modify systems. Some of them are destructive if run in the wrong place or misunderstood.
You are responsible for what you run. Take a backup first, read what a command does before executing it, and test on something you can afford to break. We accept no responsibility for data loss, downtime, broken deployments, corrupted configuration, voided warranties, or any other damage resulting from following instructions published here.
Security Content
Articles touching on security describe general practice. They are not a security audit, not a threat model for your organisation, and not a guarantee that following them will keep any system safe. If you are securing something that matters, engage a qualified professional.
No Professional Advice
Nothing on this site is professional, legal, financial, or career advice. Content about purchasing decisions, salaries, career paths, or the merits of a qualification reflects general observation, not advice tailored to you. Where a decision has real financial or legal consequences, consult someone qualified who knows your situation.
Reviews and Recommendations
Recommendations on this site reflect our assessment at the time of writing. They are opinion, not statements of objective fact, and reasonable people testing the same products reach different conclusions.
We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage, ranking, or a favourable verdict. Where we recommend a product, no one paid for that recommendation. See our Editorial Policy for how this is handled.
Advertising
This site is supported by advertising served through third-party networks. Advertisements are selected automatically and we do not choose or endorse the specific advertisers who appear.
The presence of an advertisement is not a recommendation, and we make no representation about any advertised product or service. Any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is between you and them. How advertising cookies work here is described in our Privacy Policy.
External Links
We link to external sites where they are useful. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Sites change; a link that pointed somewhere reputable may not always do so.
Trademarks
Product names, brand names, and logos mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary. Their use here does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
